Career Highlights
John has been affiliated with Ohio University since 1987.  His current position is The Milton & Lawrence H. Goll - Ohio Eminent Scholar Endowed Professorship in Molecular Biology.  He has more than three hundred publications and published abstracts, 15 patents, including 5 on Growth Hormone Antagonists, a novel drug discovered in his group.  He has made numerous presentations both nationally and internationally.  Prior to joining the university, John spent two years as a post-doctoral fellow at the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology in Nutley, New Jersey and then five years (1982-1987) as the Group Leader of Molecular Biology at the Merck Sharp & Dohme Research Laboratories in Rahway, New Jersey.

Steve Kirchner, Ph.D.

Career Highlights
Prior to Diathegen, Steve worked as a senior level manager in research and development in large global healthcare and consumer products companies for 21 years (Abbott Laboratories, Chicago, Illinois and Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati, OH).  He spent 11 years at Abbott.  He was the Director of Strategic Research for the Ross Products Division where he had global responsibility for longer-term research related to infant and disease specific medical nutritionals and pediatric pharmaceuticals.  Prior to that, he was the Director of Analytical Research and Development.  While at Procter & Gamble he was the Director of Product Development for the Richardson Vicks Division, Wilton,CT.  Prior to that, he had a variety of experiences in basic research, drug development, quality assurance in other healthcare divisions of the Company.
